BY TANYA RUSSELL
Novocastrian Tarnya Davis is an
experienced psychologist and Mum of
four young boys. In her book, All Things
Considered, Tarnya combines beautifully
her psychological insights and her life and
parenting experiences to present a book
full of wisdom as well as humour.
If you are looking for a book that is
easy to read but full of advice, I highly
recommend All Things Considered. The
book is divided into categories including
parenting, relationships and issues that
arise in ever yday life.
The columns that make up the collec tion
are succinc t but backed up by research
and there are titbits of information
that will inspire you to make small but
potentially impor tant changes in some
areas of your life. This book is useful for
busy people who like a quick read and
some inspiring words. Tarnya also adds
real warmth by reflecting on her own
personal and professional experiences and
comfor tably refers to herself as “clinical
psychologist and imper fect mother of
four”. T his sets the tone for the book and
Tar nya comes across as professional but
also very engaging as a working parent,
wife, friend and mental health exper t.
