Hiroshima Day remembered
The 70 years commemoration of
Hiroshima Day will be held at 8.00am
on Thursday 6 August in the grounds
of Christ Church Anglican Cathedral,
Church St, Newcastle. All members of
the community are welcome to join this
time of commemoration in the cathedral
grounds, followed by a light breakfast.

Ecumenical Prayer Ser vice in the
Spirit of Taizé
This is held on the second Sunday of ever y
second month, 9 August, 11 October and
13 December, St Columban’s Catholic
Church, Church St, May field, 7-8 pm. All

prayer at 7pm at Sacred Hear t Cathedral,

is a monthly gathering of young people
for Adoration of the Blessed Sacra me nt.
The liturgy involves music, modern and
traditional hymns, silence and the Word
of God. It is a great oppor tunity to spend
time in personal and communal prayer.

Exploring the Seasons of Grief
Small group program: Fridays 4 and 11

metaphor of the changing seasons this
two-day program assists individuals to
understand their grief experience as a
normal and natural response to change
