Exploring the Seasons of Grief

Christian Meditation Community Day
The writings and practices of early Christians
have much to offer and provide answers to
contemporary spiritual hunger. Saturday 5

Exploring the Interior Castle
A seminar to mark 500 years since St Teresa of
Avila was born will be held on first Mondays of

Combined Choir Concert
Maitland City Choir Inc together with Avondale
String Orchestra and The Promise presents a
concert on Sunday 13 September at 2pm at St
Peter's Anglican Church, Williams St, East Maitland.

On Wednesday 16 September there will be prayer
at 7pm at Sacred Hear t Cathedral, 841 Hunter St,
Newcastle West. S@SH is a monthly gathering
of young people for Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament. The liturgy involves music, modern and
traditional hymns, silence and the Word of God. It
is a great oppor tunity to spend time in personal

Greening the Sacred Reflection Day
To be held on Saturday 19 September from 9.45am
for 10am start at St Philip's Catholic Church, 31
Vista Parade, Kotara. Themes for the day will be
taken from St Francis of Assisi and Hildegard of
Bingen. Cost is $30 for non-Eremos members, $25
for Eremos members and concessions. Morning

hosting the 2015 Freedom of Religion Conference

Voices for Justice Conference
This ecumenical event is organised by a number of
agencies including Caritas. It will be held from 10-13

Liam Lawton in Concert
To mark the launch of a year of celebration
commemorating the 150th anniversary of Bishop
Murray declaring St John's Maitland as his cathedral
in 1866, the acclaimed Irish composer and
performer Fr Liam Lawton will headline a concert.
