Seasons for Growth
What now? My heart is still sad, I feel alone!
Seasons for Growth is an educational program
for adults, young people and children who have
experienced significant change, loss and grief. How
am I feeling and how am I responding? The program
aims to promote social and emotional well being
and teach the skills of understanding the impact
of grief. Participants learn to explore feelings,
memories, loss and grief in safe and creative ways.
It empowers participants to go forward and move
beyond their challenges when the time is right for
them. The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle co-ordinates
the Seasons for Growth program in the Hunter.

Senior Singles Social Group
This group was formed in September, 2007 to
provide a social activity for those in the 'over 50 or
thereabouts' years of their lives. There are usually 20-
25 attending our monthly dinners. This has grown from
seven at that first dinner. The evenings aim to provide
fun, good conversation, friendship and an opportunity
to meet for dinner once a month. The venue varies
each month but it is usually within the area covered by
the Inner City Parishes and is advertised in the parish
bulletins. Anyone interested in joining the group
for dinner can phone Maureen 0413 363 245 or
Rosemary 4952 4326.
Federation of Parents & Friends Family Fun Day
Come along and meet Bishop Bill Wright, Director of
Catholic Schools, Ray Collins and Federation President
Karen Christie. Bring your tennis racquet! There will
be tennis for adults and kids, games for the littlies,
entertainment by the highly acclaimed students from
St Mary's Gateshead and a free sausage sizzle for
all. Don't miss the opportunity to meet our Bishop
and enjoy a family day out on Sunday 18 March from
