Seasons for Growth
Living with pain and change is not easy. Young
people and adults need a place where they feel safe,
supported, cared for and understood. Seasons for
Growth is a process that provides opportunities to
examine how grief, as a result of significant change
and loss, has impacted on our lives. It's an educational
program that fosters wellbeing and builds resilience
and hope for the future. Using symbolism drawn from
the different seasons of the year, the program provides
a rich framework in which to explore issues of loss and
grief. We learn that we are all grieving at different times
and in different ways. People feel respected when their
stories are valued.
The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle co-ordinates
the Seasons for Growth program in the Hunter.

Senior Singles Social Group
This group was formed in September, 2007 to provide a
social activity for those in the 'over 50 or thereabouts'
years of their lives. There are usually 20-25 attending
our monthly dinners. This has grown from seven at
that first dinner. The evenings aim to provide fun,
good conversation, friendship and an opportunity
to meet for dinner once a month. The venue varies
each month but it is usually within the area covered
by the Inner City Parishes and is advertised in the
parish bulletins. Anyone interested in joining the group
for dinner can phone Maureen 0413 363 245 or
