Seasons for Growth
Seasons for Growth programs seek to build resilience
and hope for the future by providing children and adults
with ways to cope with significant life changes. People
are recognising that grief can be associated with lots
of changes, and that this program is useful in dealing
with these. Some of the changes people have identified
have been death, relationship breakdown, moving
house, living with disability/illness, living with drought,
loss of a job, children leaving home, unemployment,
having a family member in prison, infertility and loss of
health. The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle co-ordinates
the Seasons for Growth programs in the Hunter.
