is a monthly gathering of young people
for Ador ation of the Blessed Sacrament.
The liturgy involves music, moder n and
tr aditional hymns, silence and listening to
and discussing the Word of God. It is a great
oppor tunity to spend time in per sonal and
communal prayer. After wards, everyone is

Seasons for Growth Seminar
"Understanding change, loss and grief " is
designed to deepen par ticipants' gener al
understanding of the nature and impact of
change, loss and grief in their lives, in their
families or in their community. It will take
place on 7 August at Forster.
Exploring the Seasons of Grief
Newcastle 4, 11, 18, 25 August; Forster
28 August, 4, 11, 18 September
10am -12.30pm; Newcastle 18 & 25
October. This group is for adults who have
experienced significant change , loss and grief.
Using the metaphor of the changing seasons,
par ticipants explore the impact of change
and loss on the physical, emotional, mental,
social and spiritual dimensions of their
lives. The key themes of the program are
"Embr acing the Change, Honouring my Stor y,
Living with Hope and Empowering through

"Companion." A Companion is a per son
who takes a per son-centred approach as
they walk with par ticipants in the jour ney

Walking the Camino
This is an audio-visual presentation by Peter
Kearney on Saturday 13 September
at 11am-12.30pm in the Toohey Room,
Cathedr al House, 841 Hunter St Newcastle
West. Peter Kear ney tells the stor y of
the Camino as images and music unfold.
The Camino de Santiago is an ancient
pilgrimage path that has been walked
for over a thousand years. In 2012, Peter
walked 700km along the Camino Frances,
from St Jean-Pied-de-Por t just over the
French border to Santiago de Compostela
in nor th-west Spain. Beautiful landscapes,
medieval villages , interesting pilgrims,
camino practicalities. Suggested donation
$10 /$8 concession at door. Seating limited

125th Anniversary, St Paul's,
St Paul's Church was opened on 6 October
1889. The Glendonbrook community
will be celebr ating this milestone on the
weekend of 25-26 October. Of simple
timber constr uction, St Paul's has always
surprised visitor s with the unusual beautiful
stencil painting of the interior. Celebr ations
include a Ball in the Glendonbrook Hall
on Saturday night, an Ecumenical Ser vice
at St Paul's at 11.30am on Sunday and
a picnic in the Hall, where a display of
memorabilia will recall some of the church's
past. Ever yone is welcome, especially those
with past a ssociations with St Paul's and
Glendonbrook. People willing to share their
